Elite World Opens Its First International Hotel in Ivory Coast

Elite World Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to open its first overseas hotel in the Republic of Ivory Coast, following its target of growth with a franchise business model. Elite World Grand Yamoussoukro, which will be the first Turkish hotel in West Africa, will open its doors in June 2026.

Elite World Hotels & Resorts, one of Türkiye's leading hotel chains, has chosen the Republic of Ivory Coast, an outstanding destination in Africa, as the place of its first hotel abroad. Taking its 50 years of experience in the accommodation industry one step further with its growth targets through the franchise business model, Elite World Hotels & Resorts signed an agreement for its first hotel abroad. The signing ceremony of Elite World Grand Yamoussoukro, which will be the first Turkish hotel in West Africa, was held with the participation of Prof. Kouakou Kouadio Clément, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Development of the Republic of Ivory Coast, Dr. Jean-Marie Atta Kouacou, Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Orkun Petekçi, CEO of Elite World Hotels & Resorts, Mahmut Sürmen, Business Development Vice President of Elite World Hotels & Resorts, Aristide Konan, Chairman of the Board of the investor company Bodo Services SARL, and bureaucrats.

It will host huge organizations with its auditorium with a capacity of 3,500 people.

The hotel, which will be located in Yamoussoukro, the capital of the country, will serve under the Elite World Grand brand in the luxury category of the Elite World chain, which has 9 brands that meet different accommodation needs. Elite World Grand Yamoussoukro will be invested by Bodo Services SARL and operated by Elite World with a franchise business model, and it will be the hotel with the largest capacity in the city with 300 rooms, 2 à la carte restaurants, 1 open buffet restaurant, 1 casino, lobby bar, congress center, indoor and outdoor pools, spa center and aqua park. The hotel will have the city's largest congress center as well as an auditorium with a capacity of 3,500 people, available to host large-scale organizations to be held in the region.

It will bring Van Breakfast to Ivory Coast

The construction of the hotel has been started on 100 decares of land. Elite World Grand Yamoussoukro is expected to welcome its first guests in June 2026. The hotel will make a difference in the region with its tastes and services that Elite World chain’s Turkish cuisine, restaurants and brands will bring in. Elite World chain will go on through its mission of introducing Van Breakfast to the world as a cultural and gastronomic value in the hotel it will operate in Ivory Coast with its project "Flavors That Leave Their Mark from Past to Today: Van Breakfast", which it has recently launched in its hotels.

Emel Elik Bezaroğlu, Elite World Hotels & Resorts’ Chairman of the Board Responsible for Sales and Marketing, emphasized that Africa has a hidden potential in tourism and said, “We are excited to make our first hotel abroad come true. Elite World Grand Yamoussoukro, which we will operate with a franchise model in Ivory Coast, the pearl of Africa, will be the first example of these goals.”
